Comments:
After graduating from DMLHS, I attended DMLC, graduating in 1967. I taught one year in Pigeon, Michigan. I married Len Collyard on June 29, 1968. I taught one year in Bay City, Michigan, before we moved to Milwaukee.
Len and I have been blessed with three children and six grandchildren. Our daughter, Andrea, and her husband, Steve, live in nearby Grafton. I have had the joy of teaching their three sons: Jacob, 15, Zachary, 13, and Noah, 11. Our son, Greg, lives in Milwaukee. He and his wife, Kari, have two daughters and a son. Elli is 5, Ava is 3, and Isaac is nine months. Son Christopher and his wife, Jamie, live in suburban Denver with their two dogs.
Len and I have lived in Jackson since 1976. Len is the athletic director at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. I returned to teaching in 1985. I taught at Calvary, Thiensville, for 13 years. I’ve been teaching at Morning Star in Jackson for the past ten years. When I’m not busy with school or grandkids I enjoy reading, sewing, playing piano, and gardening.
