After graduation from Dr. Martin Luther College---High School Department I went on to attend Dr. Martin Luther College. I graduated from D.M.L.C. in 1967 and was assigned to teach at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Omaha, NE. There I served for twenty-five as principal and teacher of grades 5-8. While in Omaha I met and married my wonderful wife, Janelle. The Lord blessed us with three boys: Jonathan – 24, David – 22, and James – 20.
In 1992 I accepted a call to teach the upper grades and serve as principal at Trinity Lutheran School in Aberdeen, SD. While in Aberdeen I completed work for a Master’s degree in Elementary School Administration. (required by the state)
In 1998 I accepted a call to teach and be principal at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in St. James, MN.
In 2000 I accepted the call to be the upper grades teacher and principal of Trinity Lutheran School, one of the few schools in the Evangelical Lutheran Synod. That is where we still are. Trinity is a small rural school and we enjoy being out in the country. During my many years in the small districts I was privileged to serve on quite a few district and synod boards. I still enjoy most sports (watching), and do especially enjoy motorcycling, golf, and fishing. We like living in Wisconsin, but I still root for the Vikings and Twins.
