After graduation from DMLHS, I went on to DMLC for two years. After completing my second year at DMLC, I left Minnesota and moved to Arizona. During that summer I met Jim Fellers while we both were working at the Phoenix Motorola Facility (semiconductors).
In Nov. 1965, Jim and I were married. Our family now includes two adult children (Tadd in NC and Penny in WI) and three grandchildren (Cody, Risa, and Jace).
During our 42 years of marriage, Jim and I lived in many different places: Phoenix (AZ), Scottsdale (AZ), New Carlisle (OH), Tipp City (OH), Cincinnati (OH), Escondido (CA), Fort Collins (CO), Cottonwood (AZ), Charlotte (NC), Casa Grande (AZ), and for now Greenville (OH). Because we moved so often, someone once jokingly asked if we were in the “Government Witness Protection Program” – the answer is “no.”
Jim’s career was in the semiconductor/microelectronics field, but I’ve had way too many jobs to even begin telling about them. However, the best job (other than wife and mother) I’ve been blessed to have is as one of the writers of the WELS Christ Light curriculum from 1996 to 2001. Then there was a brief break until March 2006 when once again I began writing for the new (updated) Christ Light curriculum. I never thought God would use me in such a way, but if he can make rocks and donkeys talk, he certainly can use anyone (even me)!
Jim and I enjoy our volunteer work with our church and have participated in many and varied functions. Wherever our moves took us, we immediately became active in our local WELS congregation. What a blessing it has been to meet and know so many wonderful people
