My husband and I have been married 41 years. Our family has grown with 4 children and soon to be 9 grandchildren. After high school, I attended a 1 year Medical Secretaries course and then worked at Mayo Clinic from 1965-1967 when we married. We moved to Winona where I worked as a dental assistant for 10 years. In December, I will be retiring from Mayo Clinic where I worked as a clinical assistant for 20 years, since 1988. I’m using the word “retire” loosely as I will be doing day care for 2 grandchildren. We have done a little traveling, my husband more than I have, as he travels to sell his wooden products, mostly around weekends. Our favorite vacation spots are Glacier and Banff in the Rockies and of course the southern states of Texas, Mew Mexico and Arizona. Since 1985, I have had an art business, creating wedding and anniversary art work-doing about 125 a year. It will be a great joy to see you all as I think often of the days we were blessed in our youth to attend Martin Luther. I pray the Lord will bless each of you with a happy, healthy, and content retirement.
