Greetings to DMLHS graduates of 1963 from Big Sky Country. It wasn't until last week that I finally got out my old Excelsior to put faces to the names on Lois's list of my fellow high school graduates some 45 years ago. YIKES!!! How young we looked, what beautiful thick hair we had, and fresh wrinkle free faces. Our hearts were full of hopes and dreams of what the future would hold. I regret that I did not get to know more of you better, but my shyness during those years kept me from reaching out. My hopes and dreams for the years that would follow didn't always work out as planned, but I always knew God was in control and through my years He has been my Hope, my Peace, my Joy!

After graduation I continued 4 years of college at DMLC and upon graduation I taught one year at Salem Lutheran in Loretto, Mn. Jim - a Montana man - and I were married in 1968. I had met him while working in Yellowstone Park the summer between my junior and senior year. Jim soon became a Montana State Highway Patrolman so we moved three times before settling in Billings. I taught here and there through the early years and after Lori and Zac were born I opened my own daycare and pre-school in our home. Along the way we built 2 homes (by the sweat of our brow!), enjoyed many camping and fishing trips, and grew old together. We now have 4 grandchildren...two in Arizona and two here in Billings. I continue to work as a housekeeper for two families in Billings...am healthy and active. Jim is retired and suffers from dementia, but is content at home.

God's blessings to you and your families.....stay strong in the Lord....enjoy your time together.
